Meet Your Guide
"Africa does not just show you wildlife — it shows you yourself. Every guest I take into the bush comes back different. That transformation is why I have never stopped guiding."
Moses Lubowa has spent over four decades living, breathing, and guiding across the African wilderness. Born in Uganda in the shadow of the Rwenzori Mountains, he grew up learning the land the way most people learn a language — naturally, deeply, and without limits.
He founded Nile Canopy Expeditions in 1985, long before Uganda appeared on any tourist map, driven by a singular belief: that this country deserved to be seen. Today, Moses is one of East Africa's most respected safari authorities, having personally led thousands of travellers through gorilla forests at dawn, across crocodile-lined river banks, and into the most remote corners of the continent.
His knowledge is not learned from a textbook. It is lived experience — built one sunrise game drive at a time. What separates Moses from every booking platform and package company is simple: he actually goes with you.
Our Destinations

Destination Guides
Uganda is Africa's most biodiverse country — where you can trek with mountain gorillas at dawn, watch tree-climbing lions at dusk, and chase chimpanzees through ancient rainforest. Moses has guided here for 40 years and knows every trail intimately.
From the Rwenzori snow peaks to the thundering Murchison Falls to the crater lakes of Fort Portal — Uganda is East Africa's greatest hidden gem.

Kenya is the birthplace of the modern safari. The Maasai Mara offers the most dramatic wildlife spectacle on earth — the Great Migration — while Amboseli delivers iconic views of elephant herds beneath the snow-capped summit of Kilimanjaro.
From the flamingo-pink shores of Lake Nakuru to the ancient baobab forests of Tsavo, Kenya is a country that delivers wonder at every turn.

Tanzania is home to the Serengeti — one of the most famous wildlife arenas on the planet — and the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder teeming with the Big Five. The country's sheer scale and diversity of habitat is unmatched anywhere in Africa.
Combine a Tanzania safari with a Zanzibar extension for the perfect trip: turquoise Indian Ocean waters, UNESCO Stone Town, spice farms, and the most pristine coral reefs in the region.

"Best safari company in East Africa, period. The private sundowner in the savannah with a pride of lions 200 metres away — I still can't believe that was real life."
"We combined Uganda with Zanzibar and it was the perfect trip — gorillas in the morning mist, then azure waters and spiced rice at sunset. Nile Canopy made it completely seamless."
